Philip Van Steenwinkel has, as a lawyer, built up a wealth of transactional experience with various forms of financial operations, primarily in the area of capital market law (from plain vanilla bond issues to more structured transactions and securitisation operations), mobilising portfolios of credits and trade receivables, secured loans and derivatives.
He also deals with regulatory matters. As a lawyer, he helped to push ahead a number of innovative matters (such as setting up a first issue of project bonds in Belgium, the structuring of a number of covered bond programmes, a first public securitisation transaction in Belgium under the stringent European regulations and an investigation into the regulatory framework for crowdfunding) and has earned a solid reputation amongst clients for getting things done.
